I am familiar with Kiyonna and always purchase the 2x because I know that's what works for me... I am 5'7"... 38DDD... usually wear a 0x/1x or 14/16. This dress was no exception. The 2x fits nicely. A couple of things to note... this is a very form fitting dress in the bust and body area. The skirt flairs a bit right around thigh area on me... everyone is built a bit differently.. so I encourage you to read the sellers info on sizing.. I do feel they run a bit to the smaller side and sizing up is probably a good idea. The V is fairly deep.. cleavage could be visible. however, the lace can be manipulated to be form a bit more modest of a look and even possible stitched a stitch or two to keep it in place. I chose the black lace over black. The color is deep and not washed out.. a true black in my opinion. The arms are not lined, as shown in the photo they provide in the ad. The waist is drawn in a bit.. a tiny bit empire height on my body... silhouette is flattering in my opinion and would be on a lot of different body types. Being black helps to hide rolls and lumps should you have them. The gown falls just above the floor for me in bare feet, which I like. I usually end up hemming things believe it or not - everyone likes things a bit differently. The dress is a "pull over" meaning - no zippers or buttons. I store it in a garment bag as I don't often need such a formal dress, but just in case it's a beautiful, elegant option that fits like a glove. I have purchased many Kiyonna items, mostly blouses. I waited until this dress dropped to my price point and pounced. :) I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem usefulI love this gown. It fits perfectly and was a huge hit at an Old Hollywood formal dinner I attended.Usually I don't wear plus sizes, but lately I've found that I get an overall better "fit" if I go to a 14W vs a regular 14. I was in a pinch for a gala I have next Friday night, as I seem to have outgrown the ones in my closet. It was a RISK to buy online. Quality, fit, etc. were all a concern. This arrived in two days - here's what I found:- Quality is good; it is "heavy" so would not be good for the height of summer or anytime outside unless it was COLD.- Since there is no zipper (it's a pullover), it has to be able to fit over breasts/shoulders. Anyone who is super big up there may have a challenge. I'm not ridiculously big, but it was snug. Once past there, it fell perfectly.- I have a small rib cage (relative to the rest of my body) - pear shaped. So it did what I need it to do. It cinches in right under the bra line and falls away from there. Hides the big thighs in a wonderful way! I ordered black on black, so it's a bit of good camouflage everywhere.- No zippers and nothing that pinches anywhere. This seems like it will be super comfy to wear. The sleeves are snug...not uncomfortably, but if my upper arms were any bigger, I think it might be uncomfortable. As is, perfect. And the lace on arms and at neckline is NOT itchy!- I wear a size 14/14W, am 5'6" and bought a size 0. I'm glad I did. A size 1 would have been too big. But it JUST fits. HOWEVER, it is LONG! I put on some heels and I can probably get away without hemming it; but I may try to get the tailor to take it up a few inches if there is time. Don't want to trip. If you are someone who wears stilettos or likes the drama of a floor dusting dress, this would work. But if you want to wear normal height shoes and not drag, order it with enough time to have someone take it up.I do not like buying evening clothes for myself (mostly find me in jeans or sweatpants). It's the whole size/fit/how do I look thing. Uggh. Usually, it's out to Macy's evening wear and I buy whatever I find but seldom leave "in love" with what I've purchased. This purchase was a terrific surprise. Fit and looks good. I think it will be a hit.I have a formal gala event to attend in a couple weeks. I was looking for something that would not only look good, but be comfortable too (I have multiple recent diagnosis that make this really important). I am also flying to this event, so it really needs to travel well. I found this on another site (Lane Bryant), and fell in love, despite the cost. However, they didn't have the size I needed according to the size chart. I went looking elsewhere and still came up empty handed, so it brought me here to Amazon. On a whim I searched for a couple of dresses that I had found elsewhere, in only the wrong sizes. I found 2 ... this one and one other (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01LXH0BXE/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1). I ordered both since you never know what you are actually going to get with online shopping.First off, I pulled it out of the packaging and fell in love all over again. The colors are true to what I expected from the online images -- a pleasant surprise. While I am typically not a fan of lace based on the feel, this feels so very nice to the touch. It has some weight to it, but for an October event in the northern US that isn't an issue. I hung it up and began restraining myself from putting it on right away (I was expecting non-family company any moment). It was at this point that I realized there wasn't a single noticeable wrinkle. After shipping, with no wrinkles .. chances are it will fly just fine and be wearable when I arrive. It didn't take long for me to give in and decide that if company arrived they could wait at the door a few moments until I was again dressed. This slips over the head and right on. Took a few shimmies of the fabric to get it down and into place, but once it fell into place, all I could say was "Yep, this is the one. This is the dress that I'm wearing, I don't even need to see the other one." This dress feels almost like pajamas against my skin, but looked drop dead gorgeous on the outside. Add on top of the amazing feel, it hides all the imperfections and accentuates all the right spots.I am so very pleased with this purchase, despite the cost. This dress will get worn over and over again, and will be my go to dress.Okay so I purchase this dress for a wedding. I’m 5’7” and at 290 at this time it was way to long and the waist line has plenty of room. The fabrics was slightly heavy.
